The Wooden Foundation's Mission Statement

"The Wooden Foundation seeks to assist in providing students with the necessary skills to be successful, well-rounded individuals as they transition from school to the challenges of life on their own."

Competition abounds in today's culture. Whether in education, athletics or the workplace, truly successful individuals realize the importance of gaining an edge. Parents often make sacrifices to provide their children with their best chance to succeed.

The non-profit Wooden Foundation was formed to address the largely unmet need to better equip our young adults with real world job hunting advice as well as other helpful guidance for transitioning from school to the working world.

Too often students fail to heed advice from parents or school administrators. The Wooden Foundation, through utilizing real world experts, seeks to capture our youths' attention and thus provide them an E.D.G.E. (Earnings Depend on Gaining an Edge) as they move forward in life.

The Wooden Foundation, a tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) entity, seeks sponsorships from community-minded corporations and individuals.

There is no charge to schools or workshop attendees.

Testimonials

"It is very important for students to make a connection between classroom learning and something relevant to them. Hopefully, most high school students will be thinking about their future and would respond very favorably to a job hunting/personal reflection workshop."
